Instructor Terms

Welcome to SecureGyan! These Instructor Terms (“Terms”) outline your rights, responsibilities, and obligations as an instructor on our platform. By signing up as an instructor and using our services, you agree to these Terms, our [Terms of Use], and our [Privacy Policy].

1. Instructor Eligibility

To join our platform as an instructor, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or meet the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• Possess the qualifications, expertise, and rights required to provide the educational content you publish.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including tax, intellectual property, and professional regulations.

2. Instructor Responsibilities

a. Content Ownership and Accuracy

You are fully responsible for all content that you post on the platform, including but not limited to:

• Lectures, quizzes, coding exercises, assignments, assessments, practice tests, and additional resources.
• Course landing pages, labs, and announcements.

These collectively constitute your “Submitted Content.”

b. Representations and Warranties

By publishing Submitted Content, you represent and warrant that:

1. You will provide and maintain accurate account and profile information.
2. You own or have the required licenses, rights, permissions, and authority to use and authorize SecureGyan to use your Submitted Content as specified in these Terms.
3. Your Submitted Content will not infringe or misappropriate third-party intellectual property rights.
4. You have the necessary qualifications, credentials, and expertise to teach the courses you offer.
5. You will ensure a level of quality consistent with industry standards and general expectations for instructional services.

c. Professional Conduct

You agree to engage with students and platform staff professionally and respectfully.

3. Prohibited Activities

As an instructor, you agree not to:

1. Post or provide content that is inappropriate, offensive, defamatory, false, misleading, or infringing.
2. Post unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, or spam through the platform.
3. Use the platform for non-educational purposes or external solicitations.
4. Engage in activities that require additional licenses or royalty payments, such as unauthorized use of copyrighted materials.
5. Circumvent platform systems, such as embedding unauthorized courses or bypassing payment processes.
6. Impersonate another individual or gain unauthorized access to another user’s account.
7. Disrupt or interfere with other instructors’ services or misuse platform resources.

4. Ownership and Licensing

a. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all Submitted Content.

b. License to SecureGyan

By publishing your content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, market, and distribute your Submitted Content through the platform. This license allows us to improve platform functionality, marketing, and accessibility.

5. Course Pricing and Revenue Sharing

a. Pricing

Instructors have the ability to set their course prices within the limits of our pricing policy. We may adjust prices for discounts, promotions, or tax compliance.

b. Revenue Sharing

Revenue is shared based on net income from course sales, as described in our [Revenue Share Policy]. Net income includes deductions for taxes, platform fees, and other operational costs.

c. Payment Terms

Payments to instructors are disbursed monthly, subject to meeting the minimum payout threshold and providing necessary tax documentation.

6. Tax Obligations

As an instructor, you are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling your tax obligations related to your earnings from our platform. SecureGyan may provide necessary tax documentation (e.g., 1099 forms) if required by law.

7. Data Privacy and Confidentiality

a. Student Data

While you may receive certain student information to facilitate learning (e.g., names, course progress, or questions), you must handle all data in compliance with applicable data protection laws. You may not use student data for purposes outside the platform without express consent.

b. Confidentiality

You agree to keep all proprietary information related to the platform, students, and other instructors confidential.

8. Account Termination and Suspension

a. Voluntary Termination

You may terminate your instructor account at any time by contacting us.

b. Platform-Initiated Actions

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, unethical behavior, or failure to meet content standards. Upon termination, we may retain your content or data for legal or operational purposes.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SecureGyan, its affiliates, and its employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses resulting from:

• Your Submitted Content.
• Breaches of these Terms or applicable laws.
• Third-party claims related to your content or activities on the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SrcureGyan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform, loss of earnings, or issues with Submitted Content.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting, and we will notify you of significant updates. Your continued use of the platform after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
